This is a report from a participant in a human trial testing tongkat ali:
No sex drive when off tongkat ali
As I did not receive the tongkat ali samples until July 28th I wound up having a total of six days off the tongkat ali. You already have the report of the first two days.
The following four days have created an interesting series of observations. By the end of the third day I had noticed a marked drop in my libido although I could still get a strong erection. Days four to six showed a continued decline in desire. There was also a slight decrease in energy, but not to a great degree. I still felt charged and very balanced. Sex remained good, but intensity of orgasms was definitely lower - although still better than before the trials. By the fourth day I decided to use Viagra again for support rather than recreational purposes. A 50-mg dose seemed to return a lot of the hardness to my erection but not the intensity. My focus and short-term memory remained good.
Days five and six were almost the same… My sex drive had gone into idle. I also noticed that my old aches and pains were returning, but not as uncomfortable as before. I can get an erection, but I notice that it takes a lot more stimulation whereas on the tongkat ali I could come to attention at the drop of a hat.
I have had no physical or emotional craving for the extract although sometimes life seems a little smaller when I am not taking it. My conclusion is that six days after last taking the tongkat ali I believe that I am still experiencing some of its effects although to a reduced degree. Of note - the head of my penis is no longer so swollen during erections but my testes remain full and turgid. I have not noticed any real change in volume of sperm during orgasm but there has been a measurable drop in overall desire.
I received the tongkat ali samples on the 28th and to make the test fit a weekly schedule where I can use tongkat ali Monday to Friday and rest on the weekend I am starting my on-time on the Monday. My next report then will include the period between Monday July 28 and Sunday August 3. My intent is to take a daily dosage of one gram with at least one day with 2 grams during this time.
